A League of Legends smurf lets you jump straight into games at level 30 without grinding a fresh account. But not all smurfs are created equal. The two main types are handmade (hand-leveled) and botted (bot-leveled) — here's how they compare.

Bot-leveled smurfs

These are leveled quickly using automated tools. They're the most affordable option and usually come loaded with Blue Essence, ready to unlock champions. Great for a cheap, fast second account when budget is the priority. Look for a warranty against botting bans.

Hand-leveled smurfs

These are leveled manually (often via ARAM), which looks natural and is far less likely to be flagged. They tend to include unopened loot, sometimes bonus RP, and typically carry a longer or lifetime warranty. If you plan to climb ranked or want maximum account safety, hand-leveled is the better pick.
